What is Mediation and how does it work?
Mediation is vital in helping couples to resolve any problems they have surrounding divorce or separation. This can relate to any financial or property issues and/or any problems regarding contact with children.
The advantages of Mediation are that it is:
- Faster and less expensive than applying through the Courts
- Voluntary
- Impartial
- Child Focused
- Allows both parties to reach a mutual agreement, instead of having it imposed upon them by the Court.
Once both couples have agreed on mediation, they will attend sessions together. The process will normally take around 5 sessions. Once agreements have been reached, documents will be drawn up by our Mediator, which will form the basis of a legally binding Court Order.
If you feel that Mediation is the right choice for you, or you wish to discuss the matter further, then please contact Miss Chen on 0844 353 3553 who will be happy to discuss the matter with you further.
Your initial session will be free and Miss Chen will thereafter be able to give you an estimate as to cost.
