If you are considering a claim, you need to look at the jurisdiction of the various courts. Different courts have different rules. Depending on the value and type of your claim, the rules may also differ depending on what “track” your claim is allocated to. You must also comply with Civil Procedure Rules. Some claims require you to comply with a set protocol before you issue proceedings. It is good practice to set out your claim in full before you start legal proceedings and early offers can give you protection if they are pitched right and comply with certain legal rules.
